New Mural -- WOW!!

"Lana and the Blue Fish" by Bethany Georges

MURAL BY BETHANY GEORGES

Following completion of her wonderful Kawainui Marsh mural at Kalaheo High School, The Collective tattooist and acclaimed muralist Bethany Georges designed a work of art for the front of the shop. It began with a wash and priming over the iconic "Travel Mural", which was completed in 2020. This is the third mural for the central wall outside the shop, and we are honored to host this Bethany Georges mural, titled: "LANA AND THE BLUE FISH"

Here are some progress photos from this summer. We can't do the finished product justice, so you'll have to come see it in person. Take selfies and tag @bgeorges_art and @thecollectivegallery_llc.

The Legend of Lana and the Blue Fish

In the great ocean lives a mermaid named Lana—a lone steward of the reefs and a gentle keeper of the tides. She moves through the water with grace and wonder, her presence bringing calm in an often turbulent sea. One clear and starry night, a group of four glowing blue fish appeared. Drawn to Lana’s spirit, they began to swim with her in perfect harmony. Playful yet purposeful, their radiant light perfectly illuminated Lana’s colorful features. Together, this quiet quintet formed a bond of mutual protection. They brought light where there were shadows, and tranquility where there were storms.

To this day, Lana and the Blue Fish patrol the world’s aquatic wonderland and bring grace and serenity wherever they go.
